Brittany Young is the founder of B-360, an organization that utilizes dirt bike culture to end the cycle of poverty, disrupt the prison pipeline, and build bridges in communities. Through STEM education, community engagement, workforce pipelining, and events, B-360 and Young have served over 3,000 students and received honors and support from Baltimore Corps’ Elevation Awards, the Social Innovation Lab at Johns Hopkins, the Warnock Foundation and its Social Innovator of the Year award, Red Bull Amaphiko, and the Baltimore Homecoming Hero Awards. Young is also a 2018 Echoing Green Fellow and a 2018 Open Society Institute, Baltimore Fellow. Her work has been featured in The Baltimore Times, Baltimore Sun, Teen Vogue, and Forbes. She has presented at Broccoli City, Afro Punk, and at numerous schools, curriculum trainings, and summits. A Baltimore native, Young previously programmed nuclear plants, developed medical devices, and planned satellite explorations, but finds the most satisfaction in STEM education and service to her community.
