Hannah Drakeis the cultural strategist for IDEAS xLab. Author of nine books, she is a poet, spoken-word artist, and activist. Drake has been a presenter at IdeaFestival alongside CNN Chief National Correspondent John King and has shared stages with political and social justice activist Angela Davis, National Book Award winner and poet Nikky Finney, and author and motivational speaker Iyanla Vanzant. In 2017 and 2018, she curated an evening of performance artists for the Festival of Faiths, featuring dance, poetry, and music. In November 2017, the National Academy of Medicine selected Drake’s poem, “Spaces,” to be featured in a national art exhibit that speaks to visualizing health equity. She has been honored as a Daughter of Greatness by the Muhammad Ali Center and was a 2017 Hadley Creative. Drake’s work has been featured in Cosmopolitan.
